Glaring at his now empty room, Niki Sanders entered it. Tears welled in her eyes at the memories that came to her as she looked around the room. After slowly making her way to his bed, Niki settled down and held on to his pillow.

As she breathed in the smell of the pillow she could have sworn she could still smell Micah. But that was impossible. As if a dam broke, tears poured from her eyes as she clenched the pillow while she slugged against the bed.

She would never see her son again.

“I love you baby …”
